Bahasa Inggris chapter III We know what to do membahas tentang giving suggestions and obligations. Pada pertemuan sebelumnya kita sudah mempelajari materi tentang Saran (Sugesstion), kali ini kita akan belajar materi Keharusan (Obligation).

OBLIGATION

KEHARUSAN

Obligations adalah situasi dimana kita harus melakukan sesuatu karena itu adalah tugas kita atau yang kita janjikan karena sebuah aturan dan lain-lain.

Ketika kita mengungkapkan keharusan dalam bahasa Inggris kita bisa menggunakan kata  must atau must not.

STRUKTUR KALIMAT OBLIGATION:

1. S + must + V1 . . .
2. S + must be + adjective/noun/adverb

CONTOH KALIMAT OBLIGATION:

1. We must wear a uniform everyday

2. From Monday to Thursday we must wear the batik shirt

3. The girls must wear a black skirt

4. the boys must wear a pair of black pants

5. On Friday we must wear the scout uniform

5. We must use proper shoes

6. We must not wear sandals, a T-shirt, or a casual wear at any place and any time during the school hours.

7. They must not be noisy in the classroom.

8. She must be on time.

9.  Must we obey the school rules? Yes, we must. No, we must not.

10. We must not litter.

Contoh Dialog Obligation:

Dewa	:	Wi, is it Monday?
Dewi	:	Yes, it is.  why?
Dewa	:	Upz, I forget to put on my cap.
Dewi	:	What? Do you forget that today we will have a flag ceremony? You must put on you cap Dewa, otherwise you’ll get punishment.
Dewa	:	Yeah, I think today is Tuesday. I know that. What should I do?
Dewi	:	Well, you have thirty minuntes to go home and take your cap right away.
Dewa	:	That’s a good idea. I’ll be back soon. Thanks Wi
Dewi	:	Don’t mention it.
